Once upon a time, long, long ago, back at the dawn of time, before even the invention of Facebook, there was a website called ‘Newstudent’ where Glasgow University freshers jamiepw1 and misty651 exchanged messages… They were just looking to make friends, and that’s what they remained for no fewer than eight years before a late night … Continue Reading

Candace and Luis’s Humanist Wedding at the Royal Botanic Garden, Edinburgh
Mighty oaks from little acorns grow but they’ve got nothing on the Sequoiadendron giganteum or giant redwood. This baby grew from a seed planted by Candace and Luis whose wedding I celebrated last year. The John Muir Grove at the Botanic Garden in Edinburgh is a natural cathedral formed by six of these huge trees … Continue Reading

TY in B&W
There’s something timeless about black and white photography, and it seems to be making a bit of a comeback, if my three most recent thank-you cards are anything to go by. Kyle was the best man at the wedding of Russell and Sarah at The Royal Scots Club back in July. He and Jen got in … Continue Reading

Vicky and Mat’s Humanist Wedding at The Glen Pavilion
We would definitely recommend a humanist ceremony to anyone we know and we have done so on a few occasions since our wedding.
Catherine and Alastair’s Humanist Wedding at The Scottish Cafe at The National Galleries of Scotland
Catherine and Alastair’s story proves that distance is no obstacle to romance. They fell in love even before they met in person for the first time, when Catherine flew over from Quebec, and Alastair gave her a whirlwind tour that took in gigs and ceilidhs, family meetings and the very special Isle of … Continue Reading

Jenna and Jonathan’s Humanist Wedding at The Royal College of Physicians
So many people have come up to us and said it was the best ceremony they’ve ever been to and they couldn’t believe how personal it was. It incorporated everything: love, happiness, humour and most of all, it represented us, and for that we cannot thank you enough. We will remember it for the rest of our lives.

Helen and Simon’s Renewal of Vows at The Glasshouse Hotel
We loved the whole process of writing ‘our story’ separately and then reading each others versions over a nice bottle of wine. What struck us was that all the landmark events over the last 25 years were clearly just as important to both of us, as we highlighted all of the same landmarks in our separate stories. We definitely felt that the ceremony and celebration made us feel very close to each other.

Sarah and Kyle’s Humanist Wedding at The Signet Library
Everybody loved it and has said it was the best ceremony they have ever been to.
Sarah and Russell’s Humanist Wedding at The Royal Scots Club
Serendipity That was the word that came to mind when this card hit my mat this morning, because I’d literally just sent a copy of Russell and Sarah’s ceremony to another couple, as inspiration to create their own. I thought their wedding ceremony was great, but I didn’t realise how great until … Continue Reading

Sarah and Russell’s Humanist Wedding at The Royal Scots Club
You made everyone laugh, you pulled at everyone’s heartstrings and you made our day so special.
