The ceremony was definitely our favourite part of the day: so many guests said how lovely it was and how well you delivered it. It was all down to the prep you made us do, and writing it ourselves really did make it feel so special and personal.
Every so often I’m sent a set of photos that make me smile from ear to ear. This is one of them, so all credit to Puddle Lane Photography for capturing the joy! Jac and Simon’s wedding was at The Principal Charlotte Square, better known to old Edinburgh folk as ‘The Roxburghe’, but barely a week … Continue Reading
If you follow me on Instagram, you’ll have seen my version of this photo about a month ago! Ashley looked lovely, but I could tell she was a bit nervous. Marlin’s Wynd isn’t just one of Edinburgh’s cutest venues: it’s also one of its oldest. Just off the Cowgate, and tucked into the side of … Continue Reading
Ruth and Stuart created a wonderful ceremony that really wowed their guests! Their friends David and Jennifer told their story, and here’s a précis of how it started. Things … Continue Reading
When you’re getting married, you need to spend some time getting to know the person who’s going to conduct your ceremony. It’s great when it can happen face to face, in real time, but that’s not always possible, and over the years, I’ve got used to having that conversation over Skype, FaceTime, WhatsApp, Google Hangouts and even – yes, the … Continue Reading
So many guests commented on how relaxed, welcoming and entertaining it all was. We’re so happy we chose you to play this important part in our special day.
No limousine could be more appropriate for a French/Scottish wedding than a Citroën Traction Avant! First produced in 1934, they’re still très chic today. My couples meet in all sorts of interesting ways, but Shona and Simon’s was truly a first: they were brought together by their daughters, Amy and Sophie. Best friends at school, they schemed to … Continue Reading
I love this photo of Carlowrie Castle: it really does look like the setting for a fairy tale, and that is a good description of the story of Megan and Stephen, which began when their eyes met over an Übungsheft in their higher German class at Beath High School. Stephen was the class joker, and one … Continue Reading
