I have nothing to add, other than to say it was just a joy to be part of this very special day! Thanks to Neil Thomas Douglas for the wonderful photos: you can see many more of them, and read the rest of Jonny and Annemarie’s story on the Scottish Wedding Directory here.
Yes, it’s wonderful to be in the great alfresco, but I’m sure many ladies get that sinking feeling when they get their invitation to your outdoor wedding. It’s not a problem for the boys, but we tend to forget that it gives most ladies a choice of going barefoot, wearing wellies, or losing their Louboutins … Continue Reading
These shots by Edinburgh based photographer Boyd are just too good to edit: they really capture the atmosphere of the day Jon and Carol married at the magical Ravensheugh Log Cabin in East Lothian. We had such an amazing day and everyone commented on how special our ceremony was. In fact most people have said it’s the best wedding they have ever been to! I think the barometer for success is also that at least three different people asked for your details for their wedding/funeral(!)/naming ceremony!

The beach is near Tyninghame in East Lothian and it’s a very romantic spot. The cabin is absolutely simple but quite magical. When I arrived, Mike was still getting dressed. … Continue Reading
