Samantha and Martin’s Humanist Wedding at the Rowantree

Every wedding I conduct is unique for one reason or another. In Sam and Martin’s case, one of those reasons was hearing their mums read a beautiful poem I’d never heard before. It was by Lemn Sissay, and it’s called Invisible Kisses

But Martin and Sam did lots of other things to make the ceremony their own.

Sam came in on the arms of both her parents

She and Martin both spoke their vows directly to one another from cards that they held.

And they chose one of Edinburgh’s most romantic small venues, The Rowantree, which has a stage and an upper gallery that allowed their photographers to get some very unusual angles.

They just sent me these photos taken by Robert Dabrowski along with these words.

We just wanted to say a massive thank you for Sunday.
The ceremony was beautiful and everyone was saying how brilliant you were! Thanks so much for your help and advice with it all.
It was a pleasure, Sam & Martin! Thank you for your kind words and thanks to Robert Dabrowski for the shots: you can find his site here
