Your wedding and the coronavirus

Getting married is supposed to be one of the most stressful things we do but the coronavirus has made things much, much worse. Here’s what I’m doing to mitigate its effect on your plans.

If you have to postpone your wedding I will make no additional charge: please just remember to check that I am available before you finalise the date.

If you decide to have a small legal ceremony on the original date of the ceremony, and a non-legal celebration later, I will be happy to conduct both at no extra charge other than for any significant additional travel.

Now here’s the important bit.

If you have to cancel or postpone your wedding, you need to let the Registrar General of Scotland know.

Please contact the register office that is issuing your Marriage Schedule asap and please formally let me know too, so I can update them.

So my advice is ‘breathe deeply and carry on’ – but stay flexible and remember that you already have the most important thing: your love for one another.

Call me by all means and let’s have a chat…

Love and solidarity!
